Job summary

Maker's Pride is seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead, develop, and execute maintenance across production and related functions. The role ensures equipment is properly maintained to support product packaging and delivery, coordinating with customers, suppliers, and corporate HFS staff.

You will supervise 15-20 maintenance techs and supervisors, implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs, and manage KPIs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business/technical-related field is preferred but not required.
• 3–7 years of related work experience, including experience managing a maintenance department.
• Must be detailed-oriented with strong leadership and communication skills.
• Food Industry or pharmaceutical industry experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Create and deliver KPIs and objectives for the Maintenance department.
• Maintain key equipment parts inventory and manage the PM program and Work Order system.

• Partner with Corporate HFS regarding programs and best practices.
• Maintain safety, GMP awareness within the department.

Job Summary

The Maintenance Manager is responsible for leading, developing, managing and executing all aspects for maintenance with customers, suppliers, local and corporate-wide HFS employees and the manufacturing staff. The incumbent is also responsible for the supervising, training and mentoring members of the Maintenance department. This position exists to ensure the production equipment is properly maintained in order to produce and package all products.

Job Duties

• Responsible for leading, developing, managing and executing all aspects for maintenance with customers, suppliers, local and corporate-wide HFS employees and the manufacturing staff.
• Responsible for the creation and delivery of all key performance indicators (KPIs) and objectives for the Maintenance department.
• Responsible for maintaining key equipment parts inventory, managing the Preventative Maintenance (PM) program, managing the Work Order system and managing the overall day-to-day activities of the Maintenance department.
• Develop, maintain and continuously improve on all standard operating procedures as they relate to our maintenance programs (predictive and preventative) to meet all company and customer requirements.
• Evaluate the performance of direct reports against their job requirements and performance goals.
• Requires partnering with Corporate HFS regarding corporate programs and best practices.
• Maintain a safety, sanitation and GMP awareness within the department.
• Leads a team of 15-20 Maintenance Techs and Maintenance Supervisor

Required Competencies & Knowledge:

• Maker's Pride procurement, products and production processes
• Knowledge and experience with EAM and SAP
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and standards

Skilled In

• Demonstrated proficiency in a multi-craft maintenance role and continuous improvement is required.
• Experience in PLC programming a plus.
• Demonstrated proficiency in developing both predictive and preventative maintenance programs.
• Maintaining harmonious relationships and effectively communicating with all customers, suppliers, local and corporate-wide HFS employees and manufacturing staff.

Ability To

• Be detailed-oriented, have strong self-confidence and leadership skills and have excellent oral and written communication skills.

Proficiency In

• MS Office Suite, EAM and SAP

Work Environment

• Work is done in both an office and production floor setting.
• Frequent production environment exposure, which includes noise, dust, moving machinery, forklifts and fluctuations in temperature.

Physical Requirements

• Sitting at a workstation for infrequent periods of time.
• Stand, walk and climb stairs on a frequent basis.
• Must be able to lift 25 pounds on an infrequent basis.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business/technical-related field is preferred but not required.
• Three (3) – Seven (7) years of related work experience, including experience managing and leading a maintenance department.
• Must be detailed-oriented, have strong self-confidence and leadership skills and have excellent oral and written communication skills.
