Job summary

Suncor's Base Plant Mine in Fort McMurray is seeking an experienced Maintenance Planner to join the Upgrading Planning team. You will develop and schedule maintenance work packages to ensure safe, reliable, and cost-effective asset performance in a dynamic plant setting.

The role requires a strong mechanical background, collaboration across mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and civil disciplines, plus budgeting, KPI tracking, and problem-solving skills. Relocation assistance is provided.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of planning and scheduling experience in mining or heavy industry.
• Mechanical trade certificate, diploma, or degree.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP (work management, materials management, planning, scheduling, procurement).
• Extensive knowledge of rotating and fixed equipment, piping, pumps, compressors, and technical drawings.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary work across mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and civil disciplines.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting, KPI management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Must relocate within 60 km of Fort McMurray.
