Job summary

Parkbridge Lifestyle Communities in Canada seeks a hands-on Groundskeeper to maintain the grounds, assist with building repairs, and support water/septic system upkeep across our communities.

You will help with pool operations, snow removal, safety compliance, and resident services, while coordinating with the Manager. A high school diploma and water/pool certificates are preferred, with certifications encouraged on start.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
  • Water ticket or pool certificate preferred.
  • Willing to take water certification at start.
  • Willing to take pool certification at start.
  • Able to read safety rules and maintenance manuals.
  • Ability to lift up to 25lbs and occasionally 50lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Groundskeeping and landscaping maintenance.
  • Repairs and maintenance of community buildings/equipment.
  • Support residents with firewood delivery and snow removal.
  • Daily water testing and record keeping.
  • Maintain pool and spa facilities.
  • Manage septic system upkeep and safety compliance.
  • Communicate with Manager and maintain area cleanliness.

Role Description

You will be responsible for groundskeeping, building repairs, and water/septicsystem maintenance, helping to keep the community in top shape. You'll play akey role in pool operations, snow removal, and maintaining a safe, welcomingenvironment. This hands-on role will keep you active and engaged,

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the ground’s maintenance and landscaping of the property
  • Responsible for the repairs and maintenance of all community buildings and equipment
  • Providing support to residence as required, such as firewood delivery and snow removal
  • Water testing and record keeping daily
  • Maintaining the pool and spa facilities
  • Responsible in managing and keeping records of the upkeep of the septic systems
  • Responsible in maintaining all Health & Safety aspects of the Community and Community Buildings
  • Ensuring ongoing communication with Manager
  • Responsible for cleaning work area, tools and equipment.
  • Responsible for courteous, efficient response at all times.
  • Operate within the applicable Occupational Health & Safety legislation and company policies at all times.
  • Be prepared to accept after hour calls and act on emergencies as required.
  • Other duties as required
Experience And Qualifications
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience; Clean Driver's Abstract and Clean background/criminal check required.
  • Current water ticket or pool certificate preferred.
  • Must be willing to take water certification course at the beginning of employment.
  • Must be willing to take the pool certification course at the beginning of employment.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to lift, push and pull up to 25lbs frequently and up to 50lbs infrequently; ability to work at heights
  • Excellent oral & written communication skills
  • Excellent problem solving, critical thinking and organizational skills

The expected annualized base salary range for this role is $45,000-$47,000.

Based on the position, QuadReal offers a competitive total rewards package in addition to the base pay, which may include a performance-based incentive plan, comprehensive health & dental benefits, pension plan, and paid time off.

The actual salary offered will take into consideration a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the individual's skill, experience, education and training, the market compensation of the role, and the consideration to internal equity.
