About the Role

J Dass Hospitality is seeking a reliable and hardworking Maintenance Labourer to support the maintenance operations across multiple hotel properties. This hands‑on role involves assisting with general building maintenance, repairs, preventive maintenance, and property upkeep to ensure all facilities remain safe, functional, and welcoming for guests and staff.

Perform general maintenance and repair work, including painting, drywall repairs, carpentry, plumbing, and basic electrical tasks.

Assist with preventive maintenance of hotel equipment and building systems.

Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance issues and report findings.

Respond promptly to maintenance requests from hotel staff and management.

Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of guest areas, public spaces, and exterior grounds.

Move furniture, equipment, and supplies as needed.

Assist with seasonal property maintenance, including snow removal and landscaping support when required.

Ensure tools, equipment, and maintenance areas are clean, organized, and safe.

Follow all workplace health and safety policies and procedures.

Support emergency maintenance needs and assist with special projects as assigned.

Travel between company properties to perform maintenance duties as required.

Previous experience in building, hotel, or general maintenance is preferred.

Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general repair work.

Ability to safely operate hand and power tools.

Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Good communication and time‑management skills.

Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are preferred.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and perform physically demanding tasks.

Flexibility to work occasional evenings, weekends, or on‑call shifts when required.
