Pliteq Flooring in Vaughan, ON is hiring a Maintenance Helper for the Continental Night Shift. You will troubleshoot, perform regular and preventative maintenance, install and commission equipment, and collaborate with Engineering to sustain safe, efficient production.

The role operates in a unionized environment with a 12-hour shift pattern every two weeks. Starting pay includes base plus night shift premium, with full benefits and growth opportunities.

Formación

• Experience maintaining industrial equipment
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical/mechanical systems
• Safety-conscious with knowledge of WHMIS/OSHA basics

Responsabilidades

• Troubleshoot and perform regular maintenance of all equipment and machines
• Execute planned and ad hoc maintenance
• Commission new equipment
• Perform preventative maintenance for all equipment
• Operate within a multi-skilled environment to maintain the plant's machinery and equipment
• Improve processes to minimize production disruption
• Respond to equipment breakdowns; perform mechanical repairs including pneumatic and hydraulic systems
• Install and maintain production equipment
• Collaborate with Engineering to develop and maintain preventative/predictive maintenance programs
• Set up and maintain a safe and organized maintenance shop
• Ensure work areas are clean, organized, and safe from hazards
• Ensure safe and efficient plant operations
• Work with Engineering to develop BOMs and maintain spare parts inventory
• Maintain maintenance records in ERP (NetSuite)
• Achieve maintenance department objectives
• Follow HR, EHS, and Pliteq policies
• Participate in accident investigations and training
• Operate various production equipment such as mixers, presses, laminators
• Read and follow SOPs for products
• Assemble handmade products from recycled material
• Place products into inventory bins (NetSuite)
• Wrap and label all materials
• Any other tasks as required

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Troubleshoot and perform regular maintenance of all equipment and machines
