Who We Are

Responsibilities:

• Conduct predictive and preventative maintenance on all equipment.
• Maintain, troubleshoot and repair minor electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
• Maintain required records, reports, statistics, in accordance with policies and legislative requirements.
• Assist millwrights/mechanics with greasing, setup of equipment, and general maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs and minor repairs.
• Check control panels and equipment to identify issues.
• Assist with installation of new or modified equipment, guards, etc.
• Possible general cleaning activities where required.
• Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems (e.g., ventilation, doors, conveyors, balers).
• Check functionality of safety systems (e.g., fire alarm, emergency lighting, guarding).
• Collaborate with the maintenance and production teams to ensure the proper and safe operation of the plant.
• Ensure work area is clean, organized, and free of any safety hazards at all times.
• Observe safe work practices.
• Other duties as required.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience working in an industrial, manufacturing environment.
• Basic electrical understanding and knowledge.
• Ability to make general repairs to building and equipment.
• Ability to work independently as well as take direction.
• Proven mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to work bent over for extended periods.
• Ability to bend, push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Punctual, reliable, team player.
• Post-secondary mechanical technology an asset.
