Job summary

Mauser Packaging Solutions is seeking a Maintenance Electrician in Nova Scotia. You will keep the production line moving safely, address issues proactively, and perform PLC-related troubleshooting on various systems.

You’ll work with Allen Bradley and Siemens controls, read electrical drawings, replace faulty sensors and components, and maintain a tidy, safe area. A high school diploma and strong problem-solving skills are required; a pension plan is part of our benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Read and understand pneumatic, hydraulic, electric and electronic documentation and drawings.
• Experience troubleshooting PLC motor controls and electrical equipment.
• Perform PLC programming & diagnostics on various systems and troubleshoot electrical equipment such as relays, contactors, overloads, timers, photodetection & proximity switches or light curtains.
• Strong understanding of Allen Bradley Control Systems, RS Logic 5000 & Siemens S7 preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook a plus.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Good mathematical and organizational skills.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to work multiple shifts.

Responsibilities

• Keep the production line moving safely and address issues without being told.
• Repair equipment and replace defective parts; work with PLC equipment and high-voltage systems.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings and equipment data; troubleshoot and diagnose problems.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area; follow plant safety guidelines and 5S standards.
