Job summary

Maibec Inc. is seeking an electrician to perform electrical preventive maintenance, support continuous improvement projects, and maintain PLC systems at our facility. The role involves working with 4160V systems, MCCs, and motor troubleshooting, with training provided.

Safety and high quality trade practices are emphasized, and you will train apprentices and site personnel as needed while actively participating in EHS programs.

Qualifications

• 3 years of industrial experience preferred
• Basic knowledge of PLC
• Electrical troubleshooting skills
• Experience with HMI software is an asset
• Experience with VFD is an asset
• 4160V or other high voltage experience an asset
• Ability to read electrical drawings
• Ability to read and understand safety rules

Responsibilities

• Conduct electrical PMs
• Assist in continuous improvement projects and reliability
• Maintain and troubleshoot PLC systems
• Maintain and troubleshoot 4160V systems (training provided)
• MCC and motor troubleshooting/repair
• Maintain a high standard for safety and good trade practices
• Assist in the training of apprentices and site personnel
• Actively participate in EHS Programs
