Position Overview

This unionized, fast-paced moulding facility requires a motivated self-starter who can work well in a team, handle multiple tasks, and possess strong problem-solving, organization, and communication skills. The position is primarily midnight shift, from 11:00 pm to 7:00 am.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot electrical control systems (relay logic, PLC controls, motor controls, moulding equipment, conveyor lines, etc.)
• Maintain electrical/electronic equipment in optimal condition
• Connect, disconnect, and re-connect electrical/electronic equipment as needed
• Follow Canadian Electrical Code standards
• Design and build simple control systems and panels
• Install feeds to new machinery

Qualifications

• Must hold a 442A Industrial Electrician License; 309A & 309D licenses are assets
• Minimum 5 years' manufacturing experience
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings/blueprints
• PLC programming experience (Allen-Bradley, Omron, Mitsubishi) is an asset
• Ability to interpret hydraulic and pneumatic drawings is an asset
• Capable of working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
• Experience with injection moulding or automotive manufacturing preferred
