Purpose of the Position

To provide direction and support for the entire Maintenance system during IROP situations and daily operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee system-wide Line Maintenance matters.
• Monitor and maintain technical dispatch of fleet.
• Collaborate with Dispatch and the Commercial Operations Manager on issues impacting operational aircraft.
• Track all rescheduled maintenance items, MELs, CDLs, and deferrals using Trax and MX Control.
• Liaise with maintenance bases and planning to ensure timely rectification of maintenance discrepancies.
• Coordinate with Maintenance Quality and other departments for AOG maintenance, ferry flights, and test flights, including liaising with Bombardier Help Desk if needed.
• Provide ongoing reports of the fleet's mechanical status to Flight Dispatch.
• Guide staff such as Flight Crews, Maintenance personnel, and others.
• Communicate and document IROP, emergencies, and occurrences.
• Coordinate aircraft routing and maintenance during irregular operations.
• Work with Material Coordinator to expedite parts procurement during disruptions.
• Implement weather-related aircraft protection measures.
• Participate in maintenance projects and review groups.
• Coach staff for quality and provide feedback.
• Assist bases in resource and tool acquisition.
• Support a diverse and inclusive work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned, adhering to safety policies.

Qualifications

• AME License (ACA Holder) with 5 years of experience.
• At least 2 Aircraft Endorsements.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge of FliteTrac, MXPlan, Trax is an asset.
• Understanding of other departments like Supply Management and Flight Operations.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines during irregular operations.
• Flexibility to work shifts.
• Previous Maintenance Control experience is an asset.
