Job summary

Johnson Electric in Mississauga, ON is seeking a Millwright Co-op to maintain, refurbish and repair production equipment, aligned with ISO/TS 16949 procedures. You’ll assist with installation, debugging and startup of new or modified equipment across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and controls systems.

This co-op offers hands-on learning opportunities, a global team, and exposure to diverse projects, with day/afternoon/night shifts and on-site work.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a technical diploma or degree in Engineering Technology or a related field, with relevant industrial experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Maintenance Manager and collaborate with the Operations, Quality, and Engineering departments to maintain and repair facilities and production equipment.
• Work with team members to implement new or modified production equipment as part of manufacturing projects.
• Help ensure operational quality and efficiency targets are achieved and maintained.
• Support the maintenance of Quality Operating Systems related to equipment maintenance in accordance with ISO/TS 16949 standards.
• Work in compliance with Johnson Electric’s Quality, Safety, and Environmental Management Systems.

As our next Millwright Co-op , you will be responsible for the maintenance, refurbishment, and repair of production equipment and facilities in accordance with ISO/TS 16949 system procedures. In addition, you will help maintain an organized and well-equipped maintenance department through effective housekeeping and project organization.
