Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Mechanical aptitude and comfort with tools and equipment.
  • Experience in a shop environment is an asset.

  • Ability to follow written instructions and safety procedures.
  • Willingness to work overtime and reside in Canada without sponsorship.

Job description

SLB is seeking a motivated and hardworking individual to join our Edmonton team as a Maintenance Associate. In this role, you will support the preparation, inspection, repair, and testing of fracking equipment within our maintenance facility. You will work alongside experienced maintenance professionals to ensure equipment is serviced safely, efficiently, and in accordance with quality standards. This is a hands-on shop position that involves mechanical work, the use of hand and power tools, equipment inspections, and pressure testing activities.

We are looking for someone who enjoys working with their hands, takes pride in producing high-quality work, and is eager to learn. This role offers the opportunity to develop technical skills, gain experience with oilfield equipment, and build a career with a global technology company.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Disassemble and assemble frac valves and related equipment.
  • Inspect components for wear, damage, and required repairs.
  • Repair, replace, and recondition equipment following established procedures.
  • Perform pressure testing and equipment verification activities.
  • Operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Follow SLB quality, maintenance, and safety standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with tools and equipment.
  • Previous experience in a shop environment (maintenance, assembly, manufacturing, construction, or similar) is an asset.
  • Experience in using power tools and hand tools is required.
  • Ability to follow written work instructions and safety procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness and availability to work overtime during weekdays and weekends as business needs require.
  • Must be legally authorized to work and reside in Canada without company sponsorship.
