We are looking for a Mainframe Test Manager to manage and oversee the testing processes for our clients. The role is critical in driving process improvements, ensuring the identification, documentation, and resolution of defects, and maintaining high standards of test coverage and reporting. You will be responsible for designing and executing detailed test plans, identifying and documenting defects, and collaborating closely with development teams to ensure our applications meet the highest standards and specifications.

In This Role, You Will

• Lead the testing efforts for mainframe applications ensuring comprehensive coverage and accuracy in all test scenarios.
• Oversee the development and execution of test plans and test cases utilizing Cobol CICS and JCL technologies.
• Provide guidance and support to the testing team fostering a collaborative environment to achieve project goals.
• Coordinate with development teams to identify and resolve defects ensuring timely delivery of high-quality software.
• Conduct manual testing procedures to validate system functionality and performance against requirements.
• Implement best practices in testing methodologies to improve efficiency and effectiveness of testing processes.
• Monitor and report on testing progress providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Utilize domain knowledge in Claim File Management to enhance testing accuracy and relevance.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into effective test strategies.
  
  

What You’ll Need To Succeed (required Skills)

• Overall 10-15 years of experience in software testing, with a focus on mainframe systems.
• Possess strong technical skills in Cobol CICS JCL and manual testing essential for mainframe testing.
• Demonstrate experience in Claim File Management providing valuable insights into domain-specific testing.
• Show proficiency in developing and executing test plans ensuring thorough validation of software applications.
• Display effective communication skills necessary for collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Have a proven track record of leading testing projects ensuring successful delivery of high-quality software.
• Maintain a detail-oriented approach vital for identifying defects and ensuring software accuracy.
• Exhibit excellent problem-solving abilities crucial for identifying and addressing testing challenges.
• Proficient in bug tracking and test management tool-sets (JIRA, SVN, GIT, Jenkins, HP-ALM)
• Knowledge of automation testing tools and methodologies.
• Should have worked on Agile based project.
