Job summary

TD Bank Group is seeking an experienced Software Engineer II (Mainframe) to develop, maintain, and support mission-critical mainframe applications on the TD credit card and payment platforms. You will work with COBOL, DB2, JCL, VSAM, MQ, and SQL in a collaborative, Agile environment.

You will contribute to modernization, automation, and production support, while ensuring security, reliability, and regulatory compliance across enterprise systems.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software development experience.
• 5+ years of Mainframe development experience.
• Experience supporting large-scale banking, payment, or financial applications.
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality software solutions for mainframe systems and payment processing platforms.
• Design, develop, test, implement, and support COBOL, DB2, JCL, VSAM, MQ, and SQL-based applications.
• Participate in architecture reviews, estimations, impact analyses, and compliance with TD engineering standards.
• Collaborate with business analysts, product owners, and QA teams to ensure solutions meet business needs.
• Contribute to incident management, root-cause analysis, and production stability initiatives.
