Job summary

TD in Toronto, Ontario, is seeking a skilled mainframe developer to contribute to complex applications and systems development. The role involves planning, estimates, coding, and ensuring deliverables align with TD's quality and security standards.

The candidate will participate in peer reviews, incident management communications, and may be on-call. A 3+ year background in mainframe development and a degree or certificate is required.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree or technical certificate required.
• 3+ years of mainframe development and support experience, financial industry preferred.
• Must have COBOL, JCL, VSAM, TSO, ISPF, IMS DC/DB and/or DB2.
• Experience with source control tools like Endevor/SCM/Changeman.
• Experience with job scheduling tools like CA-7/Autosys/AWF.
• Agile experience and familiarity with ITSM tools (Jira/Confluence/ServiceNow).

Responsibilities

• Contribute to functional, technical and UI designs.
• Participate in complex applications and systems development, planning, estimates, and coding to meet deadlines.
• Conduct peer code reviews to ensure quality and standards compliance.
• Identify issues and maintain processes to protect application integrity.
• Configure and develop components with technology partners to meet requirements.
• Ensure applications are free of common coding vulnerabilities and follow security practices.
