Job description

This position requires strong mainframe engineering skills, specifically with RACF version 2.5 or 3.1. A secondary benefit would be experience with ACF2 version 16. Additionally, any other mainframe technical support experience or in-depth knowledge of IT Security Standards within TD or industry best practices (such as NIST, STIGs) would be advantageous.

The ideal candidate is a leader who can manage existing legacy engineering practices while transitioning towards a more modern, automated, and simplified approach to mainframe security.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Providing consultation and advice on a broad range of Technology Controls, Information Security programs, policies, standards, and incident management within your specialized area.
2. Conducting project consultations on risk assessments, control definitions, vulnerability assessments, and related areas.
3. Leading or contributing to risk and control design assessments for application portfolios, and documenting the impact of control gaps, risk mitigation, and remediation strategies.
4. Contributing to the development and oversight of a global security management strategy and framework.
5. Ensuring that technology, processes, and governance are in place to monitor, detect, prevent, and respond to current and emerging security threats.
6. Developing ongoing Technology Risk reports, monitoring key trends, and defining metrics to evaluate control effectiveness.
7. Collaborating proactively with technology partners and stakeholders to ensure security components are integrated into the overall Enterprise Architecture and addressing control gaps.
8. Providing guidance on Regulatory compliance, reporting, and audit preparations, including management responses and remediation activities.
9. Participating in computer security incident responses and representing the security function to the business.
