Position:

Responsibilities:

• Operate milling machines, lathes, and/or boring mills (CNC and conventional), along with other machine tools.
• Perform complex assembly and adjustments, and modify or create simple to complex programs to machine metals or other materials according to plans and specifications.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, plans, or sketches and work orders.
• Select machining operations based on the task.
• Set up and adjust machines for simple to complex jobs as required.
• Ensure the quality of produced parts.
• Handle heavy parts using a crane.
• Work at the bench and perform related tasks such as assisting, handling, and preparing parts.

Qualifications:

• Diploma in machining techniques (DEP) or CNC command (ASP), or recognized equivalent.
• Experience with welded mechanical parts (an asset).
• Knowledge of FANUC language (an asset).
• Experience working with materials such as 4340, 1020/1018, 1045, 44W, bronze/brass, stainless steel (an asset).
• Attention to detail, teamwork, resourcefulness, organizational and time management skills.

Additional Information:

• Salary up to $34.41/hour + $2/hour evening bonus, based on experience.
• Evening schedule (4 days/week, Monday to Thursday, 3:45 PM to 2:00 AM).
