Machinist - Aerospace Manufacturing
Location: Enfield, NS (Halifax Region)
Pay: $23.93 - $25.00 per hour
Schedule: Rotating 12-hour Day/Night Shifts (6:00 AM - 6:00 PM / 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM)

Key Responsibilities
- Operate CNC lathes, milling machines, robotics, and advanced manufacturing equipment
- Set up, monitor, and troubleshoot production machinery
- Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Perform quality checks to ensure production standards are met
- Support continuous improvement initiatives through Kaizen and CORE Operating System practices
- Maintain standard operating procedures, work instructions, and training documentation
- Participate in routine equipment maintenance activities
- Support Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) initiatives and audits
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily production targets
Qualifications
- Journeyperson Machinist certification, Mechanical Technician diploma, Engineering degree/diploma, or related education and experience
- Experience operating CNC machinery in a manufacturing environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work independently and effectively manage multiple priorities
- Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Flexibility to work rotational 12-hour shifts, including nights
Preferred Qualifications
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting experience
- Experience in a fast-paced production environment
- Ability to work across multiple workstations and processes
- Knowledge of export control requirements
- Previous aerospace manufacturing experience is considered an asset
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and move up to 40 lbs.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, reach, push, pull, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift
- Comfortable working while wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE)
