Job summary

Fleet Canada Inc. in Fort Erie, Ontario, is seeking an experienced Certified Machinist to join our aerospace machining team.

You will set up and operate CNC mills and lathes, read blueprints and GD&T, and produce aerospace components to tight tolerances with a focus on quality and continuous improvement. Ideal candidates have a Journeyman certification, 5 years of machining experience, knowledge of G-code or conversational programming, and proficiency with precision measuring tools and aerospace

Qualifications

Certified Machinist with Journeyman or equivalent preferred.
5 years of machining experience (preferred).
Strong experience with CNC milling and turning (3-, 4-, or 5-axis is an asset).
Proficiency in conventional machining techniques.
Strong knowledge of G-code and/or conversational programming.
Experience with precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, CMM, etc.).
Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and GD&T.
Experience machining aerospace materials (e.g., titanium, Inconel, aluminum alloys).

Responsibilities

Set up, program (as required), and operate CNC mills and lathes
Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and GD&T specifications
Machine aerospace components to precise tolerances and specifications
Select appropriate tooling, speeds, and feeds for various materials
Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments
Troubleshoot machining issues and optimize processes for efficiency
Maintain equipment and ensure a clean and safe work environment
Adhere to all quality standards and aerospace compliance requirements
May perform other related duties as assigned

Job Summary:
