Description:

  • Stoney Creek, ON
  • Full time, permanent position
  • Monday to Friday, 7 am to 3:30 pm, with occasional half day on Saturdays
  • $35 to $40 per hour, depending on experience
  • Benefits, profit sharing, pension contribution, work clothes provided

Who are we?

Standard Machine & Manufacturing’s is a Stoney Creek-based business, established in 1991. We custom machine, service, and repair components and parts for a wide range of industries, using CNC and conventional equipment.

Machinist

As a Machinist, your main goals are to:

  • efficiently set up and run a variety CNC and conventional equipment
  • read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, and tables
  • repair machine tools and parts
  • fit and assemble components and machine parts

You have experience running and setting up a variety of machines in a production environment, so you’ll be well-prepared to handle any of our machines. You’re also eager to learn – if there are any machines you haven’t worked with, we’ll get you up to speed.

Qualifications

  • Experience working as a machinist in a machine shop and/or manufacturing environment
  • Experience setting up and operating CNC and conventional machining equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings
  • Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs.)
  • Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
  • Completion of a relevant machinist certificate or diploma is an asset
