Job summary

A-Apollo Windows & Doors in Calgary is seeking an experienced machinist to read drawings, set up machines, and inspect parts to tight tolerances. The role is on site with no remote option and requires readiness to relocate if needed.

You will work with milling machines and shapers, perform calibration, and maintain inspection records while contributing to a fast-paced manufacturing environment that values accuracy and dependability.

Qualifications

  • Secondary school graduation certificate is required.
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience.
  • On-site work with no remote option.
  • Willing to relocate; construction materials industry experience helpful.
  • Experience reading drawings and blueprints.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tables.
  • Repair machine tools and parts.
  • Set up and adjust production machineries/tools.
  • Fit and assemble components to close tolerance.
  • Maintain, repair and calibrate precision measuring instruments.
  • Document deviations from specifications and tolerances.
  • Verify dimensions of machined parts using precision tools.
  • Set up and operate conventional and CNC machine tools.
  • Verify product dimensions for accuracy and conformance to specifications.
