Job summary

Aztex Enterprises Ltd. (AZX Sport) in Canada is seeking an in-person Industrial Sewing Operator to join a production team. You will operate industrial sewing machines (Juki), follow work orders, and ensure quality and output targets in a fast-paced environment.

No advanced certification is required; training is provided. Prior experience with commercial sewing and handling cotton or synthetic fabrics is a plus, and the role offers paid time off as part of benefits.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; training available for multi-language environments.
• Experience in commercial/industrial sewing with single and double-needle machines is preferred.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced production setting with production targets.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain industrial sewing machine - Juki
• Fold and stitch the ends of strips using programmed stitch patterns
• Read work orders to load the correct thread color and materials, compare with art proof
• Scan to begin and complete work orders using a bar code scanner
• Troubleshoot basic machinery problems and request service when needed
• Meet or exceed daily and weekly output and quality goals
• Operate machines to join sections of garments into finished products on production basis

Qualifications

• Operate and maintain industrial sewing machine - Juki
• Open to newcomers, many languages spoken, training available in many languages.
• Fold and stitch the ends of 3/4-inch-wide strips of material using programmed stitch patterns
• Read work orders to load the correct thread color, grab the correct materials and check your work against a printed art proof
• Using a bar code scanner, scan to begin a work order and scan again to complete work order.
• Troubleshoot basic machinery problems and request service or repairs as needed
• Meet or exceed consistent daily and weekly output and quality goals

What will you bring to the table?

• Willingness to learn, experienced sewers will help you be successful even with basic sewing skills
• Experience in Commercial/industrial Sewing using Single and Double needle machines
• Experience in handling cotton or synthetic as sewing materials
• Operate machines to join sections of garments or other articles into finished products on a piecework or production basis
