Job summary

Aztex Enterprises seeks an in-person sewing operator to operate and maintain industrial sewing machines (Juki) in a fast-paced production setting. You will fold and stitch material, load correct thread colors from work orders, and scan barcodes to start and complete orders.

Newcomers welcome with training available in many languages; experience with single and double-needle machines and handling cotton or synthetic fabrics will help you succeed. Paid time off is provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial/industrial sewing using single and double-needle machines.
• Experience sewing cotton or synthetic fabrics.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a production environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain industrial sewing machine (Juki).
• Fold and stitch ends of material using programmed stitch patterns.
• Read work orders to load correct thread color and materials and verify against art proof.
• Use barcode scanner to start and complete a work order.
• Troubleshoot basic machinery problems and request service or repairs as needed.
• Meet or exceed daily and weekly output and quality goals.

• Operate and maintain industrial sewing machine - Juki


• Open to newcomers, many languages spoken, training available in many languages.


• Fold and stitch the ends of 3/4-inch-wide strips of material using programmed stitch patterns


• Read work orders to load the correct thread color, grab the correct materials and check your work against a printed art proof


• Using a bar code scanner, scan to begin a work order and scan again to complete work order.


• Troubleshoot basic machinery problems and request service or repairs as needed


• Meet or exceed consistent daily and weekly output and quality goals

What will you bring to the table?

• Willingness to learn, experienced sewers will help you be successful even with basic sewing skills


• Experience in Commercial/industrial Sewing using Single and Double needle machines


• Experience in handling cotton or synthetic as sewing materials


• Operate machines to join sections of garments or other articles into finished products on a piecework or production basis
