Job summary

Aztex-Enterprises-Ltd in Burlington, ON is hiring a full-time industrial sewing operator to join our production team. You will operate and maintain Juki sewing machines, fold and stitch fabric, read work orders, and ensure work meets the printed art proof and daily/weekly quality targets.

You will use a barcode scanner to start and complete work orders, troubleshoot minor machine issues, and collaborate with teammates to hit output goals in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in industrial/commercial sewing with single and double needle machines.
• Ability to read work orders and follow programmed stitch patterns.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to training in multiple languages.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain industrial sewing machine - Juki.

• Read work orders to load correct thread color and materials, verify against art proof.

• Operate and maintain industrial sewing machine - Juki


• Open to newcomers, many languages spoken, training available in many languages.


• Fold and stitch the ends of 3/4-inch-wide strips of material using programmed stitch patterns


• Read work orders to load the correct thread color, grab the correct materials and check your work against a printed art proof


• Using a bar code scanner, scan to begin a work order and scan again to complete work order.


• Troubleshoot basic machinery problems and request service or repairs as needed


• Meet or exceed consistent daily and weekly output and quality goals

What will you bring to the table?

• Willingness to learn, experienced sewers will help you be successful even with basic sewing skills


• Experience in Commercial/industrial Sewing using Single and Double needle machines


• Experience in handling cotton or synthetic as sewing materials


• Operate machines to join sections of garments or other articles into finished products on a piecework or production basis
