Job summary

AFIMAC Canada is seeking experienced Punch Press Operators and Roll Form Operators for a temporary assignment in Southern Ontario. This 12-hour shift role runs 5 days per week on project assignments, with lodging and travel considerations as required.

The position offers a competitive hourly rate and benefits such as hotel accommodations when needed, plus meal allowances and paid travel for lodging scenarios. Candidates should have manufacturing experience and strong English proficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience operating Punch Press or Roll Forming equipment.
• Training in lockout/tagout practices preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing environments is required.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Able to work in a team and with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Operate punch press or roll forming machines and set up equipment.
• Monitor, troubleshoot and adjust machines as needed.
• Inspect parts to specifications and ensure quality.
• Load coils and feed presses; perform housekeeping for safety.

AFIMAC Canada is actively hiring experienced Punch Press Operators and Roll Forming Operators for an upcoming assignment in Southern Ontario. This position will require you to work 12 hour shifts, 5 days per week when assigned to a project.

***Please note this is a temporary contract position, so it may not be suitable to someone currently working full time***

You will earn:

• $35 per hour before overtime
• $30 per day non-taxed meal allowance (when lodging is required)
• Paid Travel (up to 4 hours when lodging required)
• Hotel Accommodations Provided (when required)

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Ability to operate a Punch Press or Roll Forming machine
• Set up, monitor, operate and troubleshoot assigned machines
• Inspect parts to specifications
• Make adjustments or tool changes as necessary
• Ability to load coils and feed presses
• Housekeeping duties as required for a safe work environment

Skills & Qualifications:

• Punch Press Operator or Roll Form Operator Experience (1 year preferred)
• Lock out tag out training (preferred)
• Experience in manufacturing environment
• Spot Welding experience (an asset)
• Experience in steel or metal fabrication industry (an asset)
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Physically able to bend, lift, stand and reach
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision as well as part of a team
• Basic computer skills
• Fluent command of the English language (both written and verbal)
