Job summary

AFIMAC Canada is actively hiring experienced Punch Press Operators and Roll Forming Operators for an upcoming assignment in Southern Ontario. This position will require you to work 12 hour shifts, 5 days per week when assigned to a project.

Please note this is a temporary contract position, so it may not be suitable to someone currently working full time. The role offers a $35/hour wage (before overtime), meal allowance, travel and lodging support as described in the posting.

Qualifications

• Punch Press Operator or Roll Form Operator experience (1 year preferred).
• Lockout Tagout training (preferred).
• Experience in manufacturing environment.
• Spot Welding experience (an asset).
• Experience in steel or metal fabrication industry (an asset).
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Physically able to bend, lift, stand and reach.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision as well as part of a team.
• Basic computer skills.
• Fluent command of the English language (both written and verbal).

Responsibilities

• Operate a Punch Press or Roll Forming machine.
• Set up, monitor, operate and troubleshoot assigned machines.
• Inspect parts to specifications.
• Make adjustments or tool changes as necessary.
• Load coils and feed presses.
• Housekeeping duties as required for a safe work environment.

You will earn:

• $35 per hour before overtime
• $30 per day non-taxed meal allowance (when lodging is required)
• Paid Travel (up to 4 hours when lodging required)
• Hotel Accommodations Provided (when required)
