Job summary

The Authentic T-Shirt Company®/SanMar Canada in Vancouver, BC is hiring a Machine Operator/Order Picker to join our team. You will support order picking, inventory accuracy and warehouse efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous warehouse experience preferred.
• Class 2 MHE Narrow Aisle certified is preferred (Willing to train)
• Must be able to count quickly and accurately
• Ability to recognize picking locations, product and colors

Responsibilities

• Strive to achieve or exceed picking accuracy targets.
• Work with minimal supervision and keep assigned picking aisles clean.
• Report mixed or wrong product in bins to replenishment team.
• Mark multi-tote orders with invoice numbers and containerize orders at pickup.
• Ensure product is not overhanging or falling from bins.
• Suggest methods to improve job effectiveness.
• Participate in inventory cycle counts when required.
• Maintain operating equipment in working condition and complete daily checklists.
• Monitor supply levels and notify when low.
• Adhere to company policies for a safe working environment.
• Assist in other warehouse areas as needed by management.
• Adhere to KPI Policy.

Job Summary

Reporting directly to the Warehouse Supervisor, the role of an Order Picker is to accurately and efficiently pick customer orders following an established sequential routine as per established picking process.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous warehouse experience is preferred
• Class 2 MHE Narrow Aisle certified is preferred (Willing to train)
• Must be able to count quickly and accurately
• Have the ability to recognize picking locations, product and colors

Working Conditions

• 40 hours per week; occasional overtime required
• Walking for extended periods & able to lift and carry weight up to 50lbs
• Able to work at heights of 20 plus ft on Narrow Aisle Order Picker
• Repetitive bending, pulling and stretching required throughout the day
• Must wear CSA approved safety footwear with protective steel toes and other personal protective equipment as required

Job Responsibilities

• Must strive to achieve or exceed picking accuracy targets
• Work with minimal supervision & keep assigned picking aisles clean and litter free
• Report mixed or wrong product in bins to replenishment team immediately
• Mark multi-tote orders with invoice numbers, can all orders at point of order pickup
• Ensure product is not overhanging/falling from bins
• Suggest methods to improve job effectiveness
• Participate in inventory cycle count program when required
• Ensure all operating equipment is maintained in working functional condition
• Complete required daily check list on machines
• Monitor supply levels (bags, tape, etc.) and advise key personnel when low
• Adhere to current and future company policies and standards to ensure a safe and agreeable working environment
• Assist in other areas of the warehouse and additional duties as required by management
• Must adhere to the KPI Policy

5/6: 72% to Team Average during non-peak and 85% to Team Average during peak

• Participates in general warehouse meetings & work in cooperation and communicate effectively with all levels of the SanMar Canada team

• Openly communicate any successes, concerns, or problems related to the job
