Permacon, a leading North American concrete products manufacturer, is seeking a Full Time Machine Operator at the Milton plant. The role involves operating the MAS1 wetside machine, controlling associated equipment, and ensuring product quality through curing and reporting.

Applicants should be prepared for rotating days/nights or weekend shifts as required. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and at least two years in manufacturing with mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic knowledge;

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Welding, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic knowledge is an asset.
• Minimum of 2 years in manufacturing operating equipment.
• Reliable, precise and safety-conscious.

Responsibilities

• Operate MAS1 wetside machine and ensure proper function.
• Run strapping and wrapping machines and monitor performance.
• Follow quality manual and complete production reports and curing checks.
• Perform set-up changes and adjustments for start-up while programming equipment.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and participate in housekeeping and safety tasks.

Job Information

We are currently looking for a Full Time **Machine Operator** at our newly equipped **Milton** plant. The candidate must be available to work in both rotating **dayshift/nightshift or weekend** , when required.

Job Responsibilities

• Operates MAS1 wetside machine and ensure its good functioning;
• Operate the strapping and wrapping machines and ensure its good functioning;
• Operate all the equipment related to the machine;
• Follow quality manual. Complete quality and production reports. Look after the curing of the products to ensure good curing of products;
• Perform set-up changes;
• Perform operations and necessary adjustments for machine start up;
• Programs equipment in accordance with the product requested. Make and save product recipes to optimize product change over;
• Perform preventive maintenance of equipment;
• Participate in maintenance work;
• Participate in machine clean-up. Clean up tasks as required, like cleaning Press / Mixer;
• Participate in the Rekers department housekeeping. Keep his work area and toolbox clean;
• Communicate to competent people any abnormalities or faulty situations regarding the product, quality, machine, equipment, workplace or other;
• Work as a team;
• Wear safety personal protective equipment as required for this position and work safely.

Qualifications And Job Requirements

• High school diploma;
• Wielding, mechanic, hydraulic and pneumatic knowledge will be an asset;
• At least 2 years' experience in the manufacturing industry operating equipment;
• Team work oriented, Mechanical aptitude, initiative; responsible, able to react, be precise;
• Shall pass the mechanical aptitude test to validate mechanical aptitude;
