Job summary

Permacon, a leading North American manufacturer of concrete products, is seeking a Full Time Machine Operator for its Milton plant. The role requires operating the MAS1 wetside machine, setting up changes, and maintaining quality and production records with potential day/night or weekend shifts.

You will perform preventive maintenance, assist with housekeeping, and work in a team while following safety PPE and company policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Mechanical aptitude, hydraulic and pneumatic knowledge is an asset.
• At least 2 years’ experience in manufacturing operating equipment.
• Team oriented, initiative, responsible, able to react and be precise.

Responsibilities

• Operates MAS1 wetside machine and ensures its good functioning.
• Operates strapping and wrapping machines and ensures proper functioning.
• Operates all equipment related to the machine.
• Follow quality manual; complete quality and production reports; oversee curing of products.
• Perform set-up changes and machine start-up adjustments.
• Program equipment and save recipes to optimize changeovers.
• Perform preventive maintenance and participate in maintenance work.
• Maintain clean work area and assist Rekers department housekeeping.
• Communicate abnormalities or issues to appropriate personnel.
• Work as a team and wear safety PPE as required.
