Job summary

TRG Staffing Solutions is hiring Forklift Operators for a Brantford, Ontario distribution centre. The role requires a valid Class I Forklift License and experience operating Crown lift trucks, Reach, and Sit-Down Dock Stockers. The position offers a full-time schedule with Monday–Friday shifts.

There are day and afternoon shifts available, with $20.75/hour starting pay. The job focuses on material handling, loading/unloading, packing, and shipping within a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of warehouse or distribution experience.
• Valid Class I Forklift License is required.
• Experience operating Reach and Sit-Down Dock Stocker forklifts, including Crown equipment.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload pallets and skids in the warehouse and transport materials within the plant.
• Safely place and remove pallets from storage bunks.
• Maintain accurate counts of materials received and shipped.
• Wrap and strap completed skids from the production line.
• Operate forklifts and other powered equipment to move materials throughout the facility.
• Receive, pick, pack, ship, and load customer orders.
• Perform general material handling tasks such as counting, weighing, sorting, packing, and unpacking.

The successful candidate will have previous warehouse experience and a valid Class I Forklift License, with experience operating CROWN electric lift trucks.

Job Responsibilities

You may be responsible for:

• Loading and unloading skids/pallets on and off trailers and transporting materials to various areas within the plant.
• Safely placing and removing skids from assigned storage bunks.
• Ensuring accurate counts of materials being received and shipped.
• Wrapping and strapping completed skids from the production line.
• Operating forklifts and other powered industrial equipment to transport materials throughout the facility.
• Receiving, picking, packing, shipping, checking, and loading customer orders and products.
• Performing material handling activities such as counting, weighing, sorting, packing, and unpacking.
• Transporting materials to and from transportation vehicles and loading docks.
• Storing and retrieving materials within the warehouse.
• Working on the production assembly line when required.
• Following all company safety, security, and housekeeping protocols.
• Respecting company property, equipment, customers, and workplace policies.
• Performing other material handling and warehouse duties as required.

Who We're Looking For

• Minimum 1 year of experience working in a warehouse or distribution centre, including picking, packing, receiving, shipping, or returns.
• Valid Class I Forklift License required.
• Experience operating Reach and Sit-Down Dock Stocker forklifts, including Crown and Reverse.
• Previous experience operating CROWN electric lift trucks is required.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to following safety regulations.
• Reliable, safety‑focused, and hardworking.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to perform regular material handling and warehouse duties.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to bend, lift, move, and transport materials throughout the facility.
• Comfortable operating industrial equipment and working in a warehouse/distribution centre environment.
• Ability to safely perform repetitive physical tasks as required.

Pre-Employment Requirements

• Valid Class I Forklift License.
• Previous CROWN electric lift truck experience.
• Must be available to attend an onsite assessment during the day.
• CSA-approved steel-toe safety shoes may be required.
