Job description

Duties for this position will include, but not be limited to the following:

• Operate stud welder, ironworker, plate shear, crimper, channel cutters, angle cutters, or saws
• Enter data into machine to set specs for cutting, crimping, and punching
• Adjust the machine to cut material to proper length
• Cut angle/channel according to specifications found on cutting bills
• Move materials to appropriate areas with crane or buggy
• Perform operator scheduled maintenance on machinery
• Practice good housekeeping, including 5S requirements, and time management in the performance of daily duties.
• Comply with all legislated and company’s health, safety, environmental, quality, and Lean policies, procedures, and programs
• Perform all other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Ability to operate an overhead crane
• Ability to read a tape measure and cutting bills
• Work independently and willingness to move to day shift if needed for training or coverage of leaves
• Physical ability to routinely lift up to 50 lb is required
