Job summary

Inspiretci in Ontario, Canada is seeking an extruder operator to maintain high quality plastic sheet production. You will set up and monitor extruder operations, adjust dies and blades, and perform routine checks to minimize defects while keeping your area clean and safe.

You will work 12-hour shifts (3 days on, 4 off, then 4 on, 3 off) with overtime pay, and you will collaborate across departments to meet order requirements and ensure accurate inventory and timely shipping of finished rolls.

Qualifications

• Experience in plastics manufacturing is preferred.
• Ability to monitor extruder operation and detect sheet defects.
• Commitment to safety and clean work area.

Responsibilities

• Set up and monitor extruder operation to detect sheet defects or machine malfunctions and adjust for high quality sheet.
• Conduct ongoing checks on produced sheet specifications.
• Adjust dies and cutting blades to meet order requirements.
• Maintain accurate inventory through regular updates.
• Keep work area clean and safe; collaborate with other departments.
• Transport, weigh, label and ship finished rolls and sheet.

As an extruder operator, you'll contribute to the success of the company by :

• setting up and monitoring extruder operation to detect sheet defects or machine malfunctions, making adjustments to create high quality plastic sheet
• conducting ongoing checks on the specifications of produced sheet
• adjusting the dies and cutting blades to attain order requirements
• consistently updating paper to ensure accurate inventory
• keeping the work area clean and safe
• working enthusiastically with other departments
• transporting, weighing, labeling and shipping completed rolls and sheet
