Job summary

Oldcastle APG is seeking a plant operator to run equipment and produce a wide range of hardscape concrete products. The role emphasizes safe operation, quality control, and adherence to production schedules within a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities include equipment setup, monitoring, and housekeeping, with opportunities to contribute to inventory accuracy and process improvements. A minimum of 2 years in manufacturing is required, along with reliable transportation and PPE usage.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of manufacturing experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety procedures and manuals.
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds with assistance if needed and up to 4 feet high.
• Must wear PPE including ear protection, hard hat, steel-toe shoes and safety glasses.

Responsibilities

• Operate plant machinery to produce concrete products from raw materials to yard stage.
• Inspect product quality against standards.
• Assist in maintaining accurate production records/inventory.
• Monitor machinery to detect and report malfunctions.
• Perform machine setup and cleanup during job changes.
• Maintain clean and organized work area in assigned zone.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Leads.

Job Summary

This role will operate plant machinery as directed while adhering to all rules and regulations mandated by safety policies and procedures to produce a superior product. This position will manufacture and maintain inventory for an extensive selection of hardscape concrete products.

Job Responsibilities

• Operate equipment efficiently to produce concrete products from raw materials to yard stage
• Inspect the quality of products according to standards
• Assist in maintaining accurate production
• Monitor the operations of machinery and associated equipment to detect and report malfunctions
• Perform machine clean-up, set-up, and other functions associated with job changes
• Make sure all housekeeping is maintained in a clear and orderly fashion in assigned area
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor, Lead Operators, or others in a responsible position
• Other duties may be assigned as needed

Job Requirements

• At least 2 years of manufacturing experience
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety procedures, operating and maintenance instruction and manuals
• Ability to lift objects weighing up to 60 pounds each, with assistance if needed, at heights from floor level to 4 feet high
• Must wear personal protective equipment - ear plugs, hard hat, steel toe shoes and protective glasses
