Job summary

Pembina Trails School Division in Winnipeg, MB is seeking a Lunch Program Coordinator. Hours: 11:00 am–12:15 pm daily with about 1.5 extra hours weekly for scheduling and time sheets. Salary: $22 per hour.

Duties include daily handling of staff, parent and student issues to maintain a safe environment and serving as liaison between administration, parents, teachers, and students. Qualifications include a minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent, ability to communicate clearly in English,

Qualifications

  • Minimum Grade 12 education (or equivalent) required.
  • Ability to communicate clearly in English (speaking and writing).
  • Confidentiality and professional interaction required.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills; enjoy working with children.
  • Willingness to work in all outdoor conditions; physically capable.

Responsibilities

  • Daily: deal with day-to-day issues of staff, parents and students to maintain a safe environment; refer serious issues to administration.
  • Daily: act as liaison between administration, parent community, teachers, supervisors and students.
  • Monthly: meet with and train supervisors as needed.
  • Monthly: interview applicants for supervisor positions.
  • Monthly: provide information about services of the school lunch program to parents.

The Program Coordinator duties:
