Job summary

RONA is seeking an energetic Lumberyard Associate in Alma, Quebec to help customers with building materials and lumber needs. You will assist with loading, stock organization, and maintaining a safe, clean yard environment while providing excellent service.

The role involves lifting up to 25 pounds, basic product knowledge, and cooperation with team members to ensure smooth daily operations at the store.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift 25 pounds.
• Knowledge of building materials is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Provide customers with expert advice and assistance for lumber and building material needs.
• Assist customers in loading product safely and efficiently.
• Check invoices and verify correct product is provided.
• Assist with daily upkeep of the department including off loading trucks, culling lumber, organizing stock, cleaning, price labelling, and maintaining pallets/stock.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment for employees and customers.
• Opening and closing duties as needed in the Yard.
• Other related tasks to ensure the store runs smoothly.
