Job summary

RONA is seeking a Lumberyard Associate to join our yard team. You will provide expert advice on lumber and building materials, help customers load products, and keep the yard organized and safe.

You will also assist with unloading trucks, stock culling, labeling, and price tagging, and you will participate in opening and closing duties as needed. The role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and delivering a quality customer experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service is preferred.
• Knowledge of lumber and building materials is a plus.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced retail yard.

Responsibilities

• Provide customers with expert advice and assistance for their lumber and building material needs.
• Assist customers in loading product safely and efficiently.
• Check invoices and verify correct product is provided.
• Assist with the daily upkeep of the department including off loading trucks, culling lumber, organizing stock, cleaning, price labelling, and maintaining pallets/stock.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment for employees and customers.
• Opening and closing duties as needed in the Yard.
• Other related tasks to ensure the store runs smoothly.
