Job summary

White River Forest Products LP in Ontario is seeking a hands-on production worker to operate and monitor lumber processing equipment at our on-site facility. You will follow safe procedures, maintain production reports, and assist with loading and moving materials.

Qualifications

• Secondary school graduation is required.
• Experience in a production environment is an asset.
• Strong attention to detail and safety mindedness expected.

Responsibilities

• Complete and maintain production reports.
• Operate and tend equipment to dry lumber and other wood products.
• Observe indicators/equipment to detect malfunctions and ensure processes run to spec.
• Start up, shut down, set up and adjust process equipment; report delays or problems.
• Load, unload and move products and materials manually or with basic equipment.

Responsibilities

• Complete and maintain production reports
• Operate and tend equipment to dry lumber and other wood products
• Observe panel indicators and equipment to detect malfunctions
• Observe equipment, panel indicators, video monitors, and other instruments to ensure that processes are operating according to specifications
• Start up, shut down, set up and adjust process equipment or machinesReport delays, mechanical problems and accidents
• Load, unload and move products and materials by hand or with basic material handling equipment
