Vancouver Honda, part of the Dilawri Group, is seeking a Lube Technician to join our Service Department in Vancouver. Reporting to the Service Manager, you will perform routine maintenance, inspect vehicles, and support technicians to maintain high-quality service.

The ideal candidate has automotive service experience or formal training, a valid driver's license, and a commitment to safety and customer satisfaction. The position offers competitive hourly pay and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform oil and filter changes per manufacturer specifications.
• Inspect and top up automotive fluids.
• Check tire pressure and perform rotations/balance.
• Replace windshield wipers and exterior lighting components.
• Assist with exhaust systems, minor trim, and general service tasks.
• Maintain accurate repair orders and communicate results to advisors.

Position Overview

Vancouver Honda is currently seeking a LubeTechnician to join our Service Department. Reporting to the Service Managerand Shop Foreman, the Lube Technician plays an important role in deliveringhigh-quality vehicle maintenance services and supporting the overall efficiencyof the service team.

The successful candidate will perform routine maintenanceprocedures, conduct vehicle inspections, and assist technicians with a varietyof automotive service tasks. This role is ideal for an individual who ispassionate about the automotive industry, takes pride in delivering qualityworkmanship, and is looking to develop a long-term career in automotiveservice.

The expected pay for this position is $23.59 perhour.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Performoil and filter changes according to manufacturer specifications anddealership standards.


• Inspect,top up, and replace automotive fluids including coolant, brake fluid,transmission fluid, and windshield washer fluid.


• Check,adjust, and maintain proper tire pressure.


• Performtire rotations, mounting, balancing, and seasonal tire changeovers.


• Conductmulti-point vehicle inspections and accurately document findings.


• Replacevehicle batteries, test charging systems, and ensure proper installation.


• Replacewindshield wiper blades and inspect related components.


• Replaceand test exterior lighting components, including headlights, taillights,and signal lamps.


• Assistwith the removal and installation of exhaust system components asrequired.


• Supportminor interior and exterior trim repairs and replacements.


• Assistin identifying and addressing common vehicle concerns such as water leaksand basic maintenance issues.


• Maintainaccurate repair orders and communicate inspection results to ServiceAdvisors and senior technicians.


• Operateshop equipment safely and efficiently while adhering to dealership andmanufacturer procedures.


• Maintaina clean, organized, and safe work environment.


• Participatein ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance technicalskills.


• Performadditional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications Required

• Automotive service experience, apprenticeshipexperience, or automotive technical training preferred.


• High school diploma or equivalent.


• Valid driver's license with a satisfactorydriving record.


• Basic knowledge of automotive systems,maintenance procedures, and repair practices.


• Experience operating tire mounting, balancing,and fluid service equipment is considered an asset.


• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness tolearn new skills.


• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-pacedenvironment while maintaining attention to detail.


• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.


• Strong organizational and problem-solvingabilities.


• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and performphysically demanding tasks, including standing, bending, and working in varyingshop conditions.


• Commitment to workplace safety, qualityworkmanship, and customer satisfaction.


• Ability to work independently and as part of ateam.


• Legally entitled to work in Canada.
