Valet Car Wash in Guelph is seeking a Lube Shop Technician with open availability for our busy North location. You will greet customers, assist with oil changes, maintenance and tire services, and work closely with the management team to ensure quality service.

Qualifications

• Lube Technician experience: 2 years required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail oriented and able to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Good arithmetic skills and ability to read product specifications and part numbers.
• Able to work weekdays and weekends with open availability.
• Comfortable in noisy, hot and cold conditions.

Responsibilities

Position Overview: Valet Quick Lube at Valet Car Wash is looking for a Lube Shop Technician who has open availability to work at our busy Guelph North Location.

What you will be doing:

• Greeting customers with a friendly, caring, and professional greeting
• Communicating effectively with team members, supervisors, and managers to achieve goals and succeed as a team
• Completing and participating in online and on-site training and mentoring programs
• Staying current with all on-going product and service training
• Promoting and providing customers information on services, products, and pricing
• Guiding vehicles safely into designated spots in the lube shop bays
• Servicing customer vehicles for oil changes, undercoating, preventative maintenance, fluid change/check services and tire services
• Completing vehicle assessments and making customer recommendations
• Following manufacturers’ guidelines when recommending services
• Following Valet Car Wash policies, health and safety protocols, procedures, and standards of operation
• Communicating with other team members, supervisors, and quality control specialists to ensure each vehicle meets company standards
• Ensuring all health, safety, cleaning, equipment, site maintenance, housekeeping, and work area organization standards are met
• Staying productive and checking in with site supervisors/managers and completing secondary site maintenance and seasonal duties as required
• Anticipating customer needs and going the extra mile to ensure a consistent, quality driven, best-in-class customer experience
• Managing inventory, equipment inspections, completing required documentation and tracking
• Working closely with the management team
