Performance Acura Niagara is seeking a Lube Technician to join the team in Niagara. The role focuses on oil changes, tire inspections, fluid replenishment, and pre-delivery checks to ensure every vehicle meets standards.

The ideal candidate has a year of dealership experience, a valid Ontario driver’s license, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year automotive dealership experience required.
• Valid Ontario driver's license with good driving record.
• Mechanical aptitude and interest.
• Strong attention to detail required.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced shop environment.
• Collaborative attitude and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Assist in performing oil changes and filter changes.
• Check tires and replenish vehicle fluids.
• Test tire pressure and adjust as needed.
• Perform final checks before vehicles go to customers.
• Maintain shop cleanliness and follow safety policies.
• Handle battery replacements, wiper blades and basic maintenance.
• Complete tasks per work orders and company procedures.

Here’s what you’ll deliver:

• Assist in performing oil changes, filter changes, checking tires, replenishing vehicle fluids.
• Conduct testing on car tire pressure and add air as needed.
• Perform final checks on all vehicles before sending it to the customer.
• Ensure to follow work order procedures, along with the other company policies and procedures.
• Clean a vehicle's interior, replacing wiper blades, installing car batteries and performing tire rotations.
• Initiate visual inspections of the inside and outside of the vehicle once all tasks are completed to ensure that the product meets customer and company standards.
• Prioritize maintaining the cleanliness of the shop area at all times.
• Clean bay and bench at the end of each shift.
• Dispose of garbage, recycling, etc., as required.
• Ability to work in adherence to company safety standards at all times.
• Comply with all company policies, standards and procedures.
• Other duties as required by management.

What you need to succeed:

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• A minimum of 1 year work experience in an automotive dealership is required.
• Must have a valid Ontario Driver's License and good driving record.
• Mechanical aptitude and interest.
• Strong attention to detail will be required.
• Ability to perform multiple duties in a high-energy, fast-paced environment.
• Capable of working in a collaborative environment while providing a positive attitude.
• Demonstrated willingness to learn and succeed.
• Follows dealership and manufacturer service guidelines.
• Proven knowledge and experience with automotive mechanical operations.
• Demonstrated ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
• Ability to work flexible hours and work around a changing schedule.
• Ability to lift and move heavy items (50-75 lbs).

Job Type: Full Time - Permanent

Compensation (expected hourly wage): $18.00 - $20.00 per hour. The starting rate will be set within this range based on job-related factors such as relevant skills and experience.
