AgeCare is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a casual, on-site role at the South Terrace location in Edmonton. You will work closely with the care team to deliver person-centered nursing, assess residents, and implement care plans while ensuring documentation is accurate and up-to-date.

You will educate residents and families, coordinate with physicians, and support safe medication administration. A compassionate, team-oriented approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Current registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
• Experience in senior/long-term care preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification active.
• Proficiency with electronic documentation systems.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the care team using person-centered approach.
• Assess residents and maintain care plans and documentation.
• Implement and evaluate care plans and adjust as needed.
• Participate in resident care conferences and scheduling.
• Assist with transitions including move-ins and discharges.
• Provide direct nursing care and administer medications.
• Safely manage medications and narcotics per policy.
• Educate residents and families about health conditions.
• Coordinate with physicians and service providers.
• Delegate tasks to unregulated care providers.
• Respond to changes in residents’ conditions and emergencies.
• Oversee emergency response when needed.
• Address concerns and ensure timely follow-up.
• Support infection prevention and safety initiatives.
• Uphold ethics and organizational values.
