Job summary

AgeCare Skypointe in Calgary, AB is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a part-time, temporary role. Reporting to the Director of Care, you will provide patient-centred nursing care to residents in accordance with provincial standards.

Your responsibilities include completing assessments and care plans, implementing and evaluating treatments, administering medications, and participating in care conferences with the inter-professional team.

Qualifications

• Practical Nurse Diploma.
• Current registration and good standing in applicable Province.
• 3+ years of experience with seniors’ health.
• Current CPR training.
• Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Work as a member of the inter-professional team applying person-centered care.
• Complete and ensure resident care assessments, care/service plans and documentation are accurate and up to date.
• Implement and evaluate the care/service plans and adjust as required.
• Assist with scheduling of resident care conferences and participate where applicable.
• Provide direct resident care and medication/treatment administration in compliance with policies.
