Job summary

Medicentres is seeking an entry-level Licensed Practical Nurse to support family medicine clinics across Canada. The LPN collaborates with physicians, delivers care, and ensures patient safety and confidentiality while providing exceptional service in a fast-paced setting.

The role includes clinical duties, patient registration, documentation in EMR, and coordination of daily clinic operations. Part-time schedule covers days, evenings, and weekends, with a focus on patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Completion of a two-year LPN diploma from an accredited institution.
• Current registration and good standing with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta.
• Minimum one year of customer service experience.
• Experience using EMR software, such as Med Access.
• Strong communication, active listening, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong clinical, customer service, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with clinical procedures and medical tasks as directed by physicians.
• Greet, register and orient patients, and prepare them for assessment.
• Document procedures accurately in patient charts and EMR.
• Schedule appointments and coordinate patient flow in the clinic.
• Maintain clinic supplies, cleanliness, and safety protocols.
• Support orientation and training of new staff and students.
