Job summary

Bethany Care Society seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse for Aspen Ridge Lodge & Designated Assisted Living in Didsbury, AB. The part-time LPN will conduct nursing assessments, coordinate with the RN team and document care in alignment with policies.

The role requires current LPN licensure in Alberta, CPR, and strong communication. Experience with dementia care and RAI/MDS 2.0 is preferred; training is provided as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a recognized LPN program.
• Active registration with CLHA in good standing.
• English language proficiency (read/write/speak).
• Current CPR certification.
• Dementia Care Certificate preferred.
• Knowledge of RAI/MDS 2.0 is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Resident-Centered Care: Conduct nursing assessments and plan care with RNs and the interdisciplinary team.
• Documentation: Record care, interventions and outcomes per Bethany policies.
• Safety: Maintain a safe environment and report unsafe conditions.
• Pro-active Learner: Participate in team meetings and education opportunities.
• Team Work: Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, residents, families and visitors.
• Leadership: Provide direction to Health Care Aides and act as in-charge when needed.
