Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of recognized Licensed Practical Nursing program.
• Previous LPN experience preferred.
• Active Registration and in good standing with the College of LPNs and HCAs of Alberta (CLHA).
• Able to work effectively in a physically and mentally demanding environment.
• Demonstrates ability to understand, speak, read and write effectively in English.
• Current CPR certification.
• Dementia Care Certificate and experience preferred.
• Knowledge of RAI/MDS 2.0 tool, computer skills and electronic documentation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promotes resident‑centered care and responds to residents’ needs with care plans and team collaboration.
• Documents resident care assessments, interventions and outcomes in alignment with Bethany policies and procedures.
• Contributes to a safe environment by adhering to safety guidelines and reporting unsafe conditions.
• Attends and participates in Interdisciplinary Team meetings and care conferences, and supports resident choice.
• Promotes constructive relationships with the Interdisciplinary Team and residents, families and visitors.
• Provides direction and supervision to Health Care Aides when in charge.
