Job summary

Bethany Care Society in Didsbury, Alberta seeks a part-time Health Care Aide to support residents at Aspen Ridge Lodge & Designated Assisted Living. Responsibilities include assisting with daily living, documenting observations, and maintaining safety while upholding residents’ dignity.

The role requires Grade 10 education and a Government of Alberta Health Care Aide certificate; registration with CLHA is preferred.

Qualifications

• Grade 10 education and Government of Alberta approved Health Care Aide certificate.
• Registered with the College of LPNs and HCAs of Alberta (CLHA).
• Experience is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work effectively in a physically and mentally demanding environment.
• Demonstrates ability to understand, speak, read and write effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living while maintaining privacy and dignity.
• Document care observations and report to Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse.
• Maintain a safe environment by following safety guidelines and procedures.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to evaluate care needs.
