St. James Volkswagen in Winnipeg, MB is seeking a Lot Attendant to keep the dealership's lot organized and vehicles clean and ready for customers. You7;ll transport customers and staff as needed, maintain vehicles in inventory, and assist with basic service and sales tasks.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid drivers license, and a keen eye for detail. Seasonal cleaning and proper signage help showcase inventory, while teamwork and reliability keep operations smooth.

• Ability to drive automatic and manual transmission vehicles.
• Experience with cleaning products and power washers is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Transport customers and dealership personnel as needed.
• Perform building and grounds maintenance as needed.
• Assist Service and Sales Department duties.
• Daily organization and parking of vehicles for sale and service department.
• Remove vehicle protective coverings and ID tags after returning completed vehicle to customer.
• Inspect vehicles for stains, debris and damages before returning to customer and report any damage.
• Assist with service write-ups and tagging of customer cars and trucks.
• Assist with shop clean-up and deliveries when needed.
• Clean exteriors based on seasonal needs (e.g., snow removal).
• Identify lot merchandising needs or issues and report to the manager.
• Place signage in and on vehicles for advertising purposes.
• Monitor and organize vehicles daily based on progress in reconditioning.
• Maintain lot tidiness and garbage control.

Your area of focus.

In this position, the Automotive Service Lot Attendant will be responsible for transporting customers as needed, cleaning the interior and exterior of vehicles owned by customers and those that will be placed into inventory. Success in this role will require someone who has the physical capabilities to effectively maneuver around, under, and inside the vehicle to ensure a thorough and satisfactory detail has been completed.

What drives your day-to-day?

• Transporting customers and dealership personnel, as needed
• Building and grounds maintenance as needed
• Service and Sales Department duties
• Daily Organization and parking of vehicles for saleand service department
• Remove vehicle protective coverings and ID tags prior to returning completed vehicle to customer
• Inspect vehicles for stains, debris and damages before returning the vehicle to the customer, and report any damage immediately
• Assist with service write-ups and tagging of customer cars and trucks
• Assist with shop clean-up and deliveries when needed
• Cleaning off vehicle exteriors based on seasonal needs (i.e. snow removal)
• Identify any lot merchandising needs or issues to the appropriate manager
• Placing signage in and on vehiclesfor advertising purposes
• Monitoring and organizing vehicles daily based on their progress in the reconditioning process
• Lot tidiness (garbage clearing, etc)

What Are The Must-haves…

• High school diploma or GED
• Interest in automotive industry, and knowledgeable about vehicles
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to drive automatic and manual transmission vehicles
• Experience working with cleaning products and cleaning tools including power washers is an asset
• Must be dependable, reliable, possess a strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize effectively
• Excellent customer service skills
