Job summary

Fifth Avenue Volkswagen is seeking a Lot Attendant to maintain a clean, organized vehicle lot and deliver a memorable customer experience. You will assist in getting vehicles ready for delivery and support other team members in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates are friendly, reliable, and comfortable working outdoors in all weather. A valid Alberta driver's license and ability to drive manual transmission are required.

Qualifications

• Valid Alberta Class 5 driver’s license with clean record.
• Ability to drive a manual transmission vehicle.
• Friendly, outgoing demeanor with customers and coworkers.
• Self-starter requiring minimal supervision.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Computer literate with ability to use email.
• Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and manage the sales lot to ensure a safe, clean, and appealing environment.
• Ensure vehicles are fueled and ready for delivery.
• Register and store vehicle keys; organize the lot.
• Assist with dealer trades and vehicle pickups/deliveries.
• Report safety concerns and liaise with other departments.
• Perform minor detailing and cleaning; minor repairs as needed.
• Work in all weather conditions.
• Snow shoveling and ice salting in winter.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reporting to S ales Managers, y ou will be responsible for maintaining/managing the sales lot. You will ensure our valued customers, safely & efficiently, get from point A to point B while we service their vehicles.

• Actively participate in reporting all safety concerns
• Building and maintaining excellent inter-departmental relations, as this role requires liaising with all other departments on a routine basis
• Organizing and prioritizing jobs to ensure efficiency and productivity
• Registering and storing vehicle keys
• Maintaining a creative, orderly, and visually appealing sales lot
• Completion of minor detailing and cleaning of vehicles
• Ensuring completion of minor repairs on used vehicles
• Assisting in dealer trades and other vehicle pick-ups and deliveries
• Ensuring all vehicles are fueled
• Working in all weather conditions, both indoors and out
• Assisting with grounds maintenance, such as snow shoveling and ice salting
• Completing any other duties requested by management

REQUIREMENTS:

• Out Of Province License also an asset.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
• Ability to drive a manual transmission vehicle and or willingness to be trained.
• You display a friendly and outgoing demeanour while interacting with other customers and coworkers. You are a self-starter who can work with minimal supervision.
• High School degree or equivalent preferred
• Computer literate with the ability to use email
• Ability to operate automobiles of all shapes and sizes
• Must be dependable and reliable, possess strong attention to detail and have the ability to prioritize effectively.
• Candidates must possess a valid Alberta Class 5 driver ' s license with no demerits.
• Willingness & ability to work outside in all weather conditions.
