Job summary

Guelph Hyundai is seeking a reliable Lot Attendant to keep new and used inventory organized, clean and ready for test drives. You will support the sales team and ensure showroom readiness.

The role involves vehicle transport, maintenance, daily organization, and assisting with deliveries. Candidates should have a high school diploma, a valid driver’s license, and an interest in the automotive industry.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Interest in automotive industry and knowledge about vehicles.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to operate automatic and manual transmission vehicles.
• Experience with cleaning products and power washers is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Transport customers and dealership personnel as needed.
• Perform general building and grounds maintenance.
• Support service and sales department duties.
• Organize and park vehicles for sale and service daily.
• Remove protective coverings and ID tags before delivery.
• Assist with shop clean-up and deliveries as required.
• Wash exteriors; seasonal maintenance such as snow removal.
• Identify lot merchandising needs and report to management.
• Place signage on vehicles for advertising.
• Track vehicles' progress in reconditioning daily.
• Keep car exteriors clean; maintain showroom displays.
• Deliver dealer trades to nearby stores and return customers home.

Your area of focus.

A Lot Attendant is essential to keeping a dealership's new and used inventory organized, secure, ready to show, and pristine for test drives. Lot Attendants focus strictly on the vehicle inventory, showroom presentation, and supporting the sales team.

What drives your day-to-day?

• Transporting customers and dealership personnel, as needed
• Building and grounds maintenance as needed
• Service and Sales Department duties
• Daily Organization and parking of vehicles for saleand service department
• Remove vehicle protective coverings and ID tags prior to returning completed vehicle to customer
• Assistwith shop clean-up and deliveries when needed
• Cleaning off vehicle exteriors based on seasonal needs (i.e.snow removal)
• Identifyany lot merchandising needs or issues to theappropriate manager
• Placing signage in and on vehiclesfor advertising purposes
• Monitoring and organizing vehicles daily based on their progress in the reconditioning process
• Ensure the exterior of cars are clean and smudge free, including showroom displays
• Deliver dealer trades to neighboring stores and drive customers home as necessary

What are the must-haves…

• High school diploma or GED
• Interest in automotive industry, and knowledgeable about vehicles
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to drive automatic and manual transmission vehicles
• Experience working with cleaning products and cleaning tools including power washers is an asset
• Must be dependable, reliable,possessa strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize effectively
