Position: Lot Attendant

Dealership: Cambridge Hyundai

Location: Cambridge, Ontario

Classification: Full time, Onsite, Immediate vacancy

Salary: $19.00 per hour

Your area of focus.

In this position, the Lot Attendantwill be responsible for washing all customer cars, cleaning the interior and exterior of vehicles owned by customers and moving vehicle inventory. Success in this role will require someone who has the physical capabilities to effectively maneuver around, under, and inside the vehicle to ensure a thorough and satisfactory detail has been completed.

What drives your day-to-day?

  • Transporting customers and dealership personnel, as needed
  • Building and grounds maintenance as needed
  • Service and Sales Department duties
  • Daily Organization and parking of vehicles for saleand service department
  • Remove vehicle protective coverings and ID tags prior to returning completed vehicle to customer
  • Inspect vehicles for stains, debris and damages before returning the vehicle to the customer, and report any damage immediately
  • Assist with service write-ups and tagging of customer cars and trucks
  • Pick up parts from the Parts Department
  • Assist with shop clean-up and deliveries when needed
  • Cleaning off vehicle exteriors based on seasonal needs (i.e. snow removal)
  • Identify any lot merchandising needs or issues to the appropriate manager
  • Placing signage in and on vehiclesfor advertising purposes
  • Monitoring and organizing vehicles daily based on their progress in the reconditioning process
  • Lot tidiness (garbage clearing, etc)
  • Responsible for the detailing of interior and exterior of customer vehicles
  • Perform general car detailing activities, including, vacuuming, deodorizing, and washing
  • Ensure the exterior of cars are clean and smudge free, including showroom displays
  • Deliver dealer trades to neighboring stores and drive customers home as necessary

What are the must-haves…

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Interest in automotive industry, and knowledgeable about vehicles
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to drive automatic and manual transmission vehicles
  • Experience working with cleaning products and cleaning tools including power washers is an asset
  • Must be dependable, reliable, possess a strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize effectively
  • Excellent customer service skills
